Working with Investors
As homeowners, are we fed up with bad news about the climate? Do we want to make a profound contribution to making our properties more sustainable every day? Our application helps homeowners make their homes more sustainable. We are looking for investors interested in a sustainability program locally in North New Jersey and beyond if the first geographical region works well.
Our new website is developed for Northern NJ. It can be easily adapted for any other communities across N.J. or any other state in the USA. Why are we interested in investing in a green recovery?
According to the International Monetary Fund, the world's biggest economies have already committed more than $12 trillion in restarting economies in response to the pandemic's economic damage.
In the U.S., Congress passed a $900 billion stimulus package with several provisions to fight climate change, including significant investment in renewable energy technology like solar, wind, and energy storage. Congress also agreed to cut the use of hydrofluorocarbons, a planet-warming chemical found in refrigerators and air-conditioning.
The huge pandemic relief and spending bill include billions of dollars to promote clean energy such as wind and solar power while sharply reducing over time the use of potent coolants in air conditioners and refrigerators that are considered a significant driver of global warming.
The sprawling legislation also extends tax credits for solar and wind power that are a vital part of President-elect Joe Biden's ambitious plan to generate 100 percent "clean electricity" by 2035
The energy and climate provisions, supported by lawmakers from both parties, were hailed as the most significant climate change law in at least a decade.
$7 trillion asset manager BlackRock makes climate change central to its investment strategy for 2021
Investors are increasingly interested in companies that are environmentally and socially conscious, and the world's largest asset manager is no exception
In recent years, states and corporations, not the federal government, have taken serious climate change action. According to a new report, President-elect Joe Biden is also expected to lean on states while showing the United States' progress on a world stage.
- Climate is a fundamental investment theme, quickly filtering down through the wealthy and far below billionaires.
- With trillions of dollars in economic activity expected in the years ahead, letting the politics of climate get in the way of investments is seen by affluent investors as a mistake.
- There is no doubt in my mind that climate will be a strong focus, perhaps an almost singular focus along with addressing Covid19," said Lisa Woll, CEO at the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment, or US SIF, which advocates for sustainable investing across all asset classes.
- One of the leading criteria for environmental, social, and governance, or ESG, funds is the environment, which has already attracted about $14 trillion in assets.
UBS's Lee said private investors recognize that climate change is one of the most significant risks and opportunities they need to think about in portfolios. It is relevant across asset classes, sectors, and geographies from both the positive potential and risk perspectives.
Getting to a 100% clean energy economy is not only an obligation; it's an opportunity. We should fully adopt a clean energy future, not just for all of us today, but for our children and grandchildren, so their tomorrow is healthier, safer, and juster.
As president, Biden will lead the world to address the climate emergency and guide through the power of example by ensuring the U.S. achieves a 100% clean energy economy and net-zero emissions no later than 2050.

Meanwhile, an ever-growing number of investors refuse to invest in conventional energy sources as the economics become less attractive and are instead focusing on clean technologies. The value of private equity investments in renewable energy projects has doubled in the past year. In the past year and a half, venture funding for climate tech companies jumped to $16.1 billion—from $418 million in 2013.

What does climate change mean for New Jersey?
The state has warmed by about three degrees (F) in the last century, heavy rainstorms are more frequent, and the sea is rising about one inch every six years. Higher water levels are eroding beaches, submerging lowlands, exacerbating coastal flooding, and increasing estuaries and aquifers' salinity.

New Jersey's climate is shaped by its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, which provides moisture and moderates temperatures. Climate change is affecting New Jersey faster than much of the rest of the United States. As of 2019, New Jersey was one of the fastest-warming states in the nation.

Does New Jersey seem rainier than usual? Are the winters milder? How about high tide flooding at the shore?
